He had farmed most all his life since coming to the United States from Norway 69 years ago. He had served in various community and church offices in years past. Funeral services were held at the Soldier Lutheran Church (South) on Monday, April 14 at 2:00 o’clock. Pastor John C. Kilde gave the sermon. Burial was in Soldier Valley cemetery under the direction of the Oldham Funeral Home. Ole H. Longlee, 88, son of Hans and Maria Hanson, was born December 17, 1869 at Urskog, Norway. He passed away Saturday morning, April 12 at his home. He came to the United States in 1888. On February 17, 1898 he was united in marriage to Carlene Evenson and she passed away the following year. He then married Mathilda Amundson on September 17, 1900. He was a member of Soldier Lutheran Church and held a number of offices in the church until later years when his health failed. Surviving are four sons and three daughter: Harry, Elmer and Bennett of Soldier, Martin of Kiron, Iowa, Helma Riggin of Van Nuys, Calif., Merens Disrude of Onawa and Edna Hilman of Mo. Valley; one brother Oscar and two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Oiseth and Mrs. Mahthea Settimoen, all of Norway; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death.
