	Bennett Longlee, 81, of  Soldier, Iowa, died Thursday, March 7, 1991, 
at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
	Bennett was born October 18, 1909, on a farm south of Soldier to Ole 
and Mathilda(Amunson) Longlee.  On January 26, 1935, he married Edith 
Christensen at Soldier.  
	Survivors include his wife, Edith, one son and his wife, James and 
Myrna of Soldier, two daughters and their husbands, Ruby Jean and Bill Hebb of 
Pisgah and Leanne and Bob Carstensen of Cedar Rapids, one brother Elmer of 
Soldier, one sister and her husband, Edna and Beecher Hillman of Magnolia, 
seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Harry. 
Martin, and Edwin, three sisters, Merena, Olga and Helma, and one grandson, 
Bruce Hebb in 1983.
