Dagny Lund                                 (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Dagny Sophie Lund,  of Soldier, Iowa, died on Wednesday, September 7, 
1983, at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.  
	She was born on September 14, 1894, in Willow Township, near Soldier.  
Her parents were James and Maren Pedersen Norby.  On July 15, 1913, she was 
married to Chris Lund at Soldier.    Mr. Lund died January 13, 1952, at 
Soldier.
	She is survived by two daughters, Mavis Larson of Onawa and Mrs. 
Clifford (Dorothy) Shaffer of Soldier, a daughter in law, Marjorie Lund, of 
Soldier, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and one great great 
grandson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, 
Donald, in 1974, three infant brothers, a brother, Alvin Norby, three sisters, 
Ida Norby, Mae Rude, and Ella Gerard, a granddaughter, Judy Harding, and a 
great grandson, Jason Shaffer.
