	Bertha Margaret Mann, 83,  died Friday, April 6, 1990, at the home of 
her daughter and son-in-law, Gene and Marlene Brenden of Phoenix, Ariz. 
	She was born August 11, 1906, four miles south of Soldier in Willow 
Township, Monona County, Iowa, to Mathew and Laura Katherine (Hanson) 
Mathison.  On January 30, 1932, she married Herbert Gordon Mann of Moorhed.    
Gordon passed away on March 24, 1982. 	
	She is survived by her daughter, Marlene, Mrs. Gene Brenden of 
Phoenix, Ariz., her son, Robert Gordon Mann of Hillsboro, Ore., three 
granddaughters, Kristin, Mrs. Douglas Severson of Lawton, Okla., Anitra 
Brenden of Mesa, Ariz., and Regina Mann, Hillsboro, Ore., two great 
grandchildren; two sisters, Mabel, Mrs. Lynn C. Mann of Onawa, and Nadine, 
Mrs. James Hartigan of Ute, and a host of relatives and friends.
	She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, her parents, Mathew 
and Laura Mathison, her brothers, Kenneth, Conrad, and Howard Mathison, and 
one sister, Madeline, Mrs. Vernon Christensen.
