CLARENCE MATHIASEN                  (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Clarence Mathiasen, longtime Onawa, Iowa resident, died on June 7, 
1982, at Burgess Memorial Hospital at Onawa, IA.
	He was born at Turin, Iowa, on February 24, 1900, the son of Christian 
Mathiasen and Anna Peterson Mathiasen.  He was married to Harriet Bearce on 
April 1, 1926, at Logan, Iowa.  She preceded him in death on March 29, 1982, 
in Onawa.
	
	Survivors include his daughter of Denver, Colo., three sisters, Mrs. 
Martina Anderson, and Miss Hazel Mathiasen, both of Onawa and Mrs. Robert 
(Margaret) Voiland of Cherokee, two granddaughters of Denver, and three step 
grandchildren of Denver, and his uncle Albert Mathiasen of Onawa.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, Lucille 
Conner and one brother, Carl Mathiasen.
