	 Leslie A. Maynard, 80, of Castana died Thursday, April 15, 1993, at 
Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton.
	
	Mr. Maynard was born Aug. 28, 1912, near Smithland, the son of John 
and Mabel (Gallup) Maynard.   He married Helen Jensen Dec. 30, 1937.  Mrs. 
Maynard died May 27, 1978.  He married Elizabeth Greskowak June 29, 1981.  She 
died April 2, 1992.
	
	Survivors include a son and his wife, Ronald and Margaret Maynard of 
Smithland; a daughter and her husband, Carol and Ed Davis of Anthon; two 
brothers, Paul of Sloan and Melvin of Scottsdale, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; 
and 14 great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Arvin; and two 
sisters, Vera and Eva.
