	Elsie McFarland died Monday, February 15, 1993, at Pleasant View 
Nursing Home in Whiting, Iowa.
	Elsie Cecil Hennum was born February 9, 1909, at Maple Landing, Monona 
County, Iowa, the only child of James G. and Alma (Alcock) Hennum
	She married Archie E. McFarland June 15, 1930 in Sloan, Iowa.    
Archie died June 25, 1980.  
	
	She is survived by a son, Alan, and his wife, Arlene, of Sloan; two 
daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Stanley Mann of Lewisville, TX, and 
Cheralyn and Jon Matthews of Whiting, eleven grandchildren, and nine great 
grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Archie and a 
son, Lauren.
