Walter M. Mikkelson

	Walter M. Mikkelson, 83, Turin, Iowa, died Saturday, March 19, 1988, 
at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
	He was born March 18, 1905, to Mike and Pauline (Nickoliasen) 
Mikkelson on the family farm near Moorhead, Iowa.  On December 11, 1924, he 
married Alta Bell, at Onawa, Iowa.  She died February 28, 1968, at Onawa.  He 
married Alice Lyons on May 19, 1969, at Wayne, Neb.  She died on February 25, 
1976, in Onawa
	Survivors include:  one son, Mike of Turin, one daughter, Mrs. Bill 
(Joyce) Mathison of Turin, one brother, Rex of Denver, Colo., one sister, 
Sophie Daugaard of Whiting, five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
