	Herbert Mordhorst, the son of John and Caroline (Fester) Mordhorst, 
was born March 7, 1908 south of Ute, Iowa, married Helen Britton August 17, 
1930 at Ute. 
	
	
	Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons and their wives, Duane and 
Joyce and Jerome and Gladys, all of Ute; one daughter and her husband, Marilyn 
and John Lindgren of Charlotte, NC, one sister and her husband, Irene and 
Johannes Petersen of Ute; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; 
and a host of other relatives and friends.
	Herb was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter.
	He died on March 8, 1993, at Onawa, Iowa.
