	Clarion E. Nelsen, 69, of Soldier, Iowa, died Monday, May 24, 1999, as 
the result of a vehicle accident near Aurora, NE.
	Clarion was born February 17, 1930, at Soldier, Iowa, the son of 
Adolph and Alta Christina (Thoreson) Nelsen.   On December 28, 1948, he 
married Joyce Olson  near Soldier.  
	Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Soldier; one son and his wife, 
Doug and Jeanne Nelsen of Soldier; two daughters and their husbands, Jennifer 
and Trent Pratt and Vicki and Dave Adams, all of Loveland, CO; ten 
grandchildren; three sisters and their husbands, Annette and Richard Maahs of 
Sioux City, Iowa, Ione and Wilbur Olson of Maumee, Ohio, and Gloria and 
Richard Lee of Dallas, TX; two brothers and their wives, Aimsel and Mary 
Nelsen of Denver, CO, and John and Darlene Nelsen of Columbus, OH; and several 
nieces and nephews.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Yvonne Reincke.
