Samuel Nelson                        (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Samuel Matthews Nelson, age 81, of Yountville, Calif., died on 
February 12, 1984, in the California Veterans Home in Yountville.
	He was born at Soldier, Iowa, on May 22, 1902, the son of Andrew and 
Caroline Severson Nelson.  
	He is survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins.  He was 
preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dick and Joe, and three 
sisters, Carey, Ida and Selma.
