	Mary Ann Nelson, 76, of Soldier, Iowa, died Thursday, August 6, 1992, 
at her home.
	She was born November 19, 1915, in rural Soldier, the daughter of 
William and Anna (Christensen) McShannon.   On June 13, 1936, she married Omar 
Nelson in Onawa.  
	
	Survivors include her husband, Omar, one daughter and her husband, 
Mary Lee and Dean Nepper of Ute, one daughter-in-law, Sandra Nelson of 
Ventura, CA, two sisters, Jeanette Hansen of Soldier and Florence Saxen of 
Onawa, five grandchildren, Elisa Nepper of Harley, Douglas Nepper of Ute, and 
Scott and Shannon Nelson and Melissa Nelson Becker, all of Ventura, and four 
grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Donald, and three 
brothers.
