Mrs. Lena R. Neumann                     (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Mrs. Lena R. Neumann, 93, of Ute, died Thursday, July 12, 1984, in a 
Sioux City hospital.
	
	Mrs. Neumann, the former Lena Bramstedt, was born March 2, 1891, to 
Dietrick and Louise (Hochgrefe) Bramstedt near Ute.   She married William 
Neumann on March 26, 1913, in Ute.  
	She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, four 
sisters, two brothers, and two grandchildren.
	Survivors include two sons, Herbert of Ute, and Harold of Neola; two 
daughters, Mrs. Wilbert (Stella) Jansen of Castana, and Mrs. Lyle (Helen) 
Johnson of Pendleton, Minnesota; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, 
and one great-great-granddaughter.
