Laura E. Newman

ANTHON, Iowa - Laura Esther Newman, 101, of Anthon died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 
2000, at Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center in Correctionville, Iowa.

Mrs. Newman was born May 31, 1898, near Castana, Iowa, the daughter of Albert 
and Bobbie Ann (McCall) Crum. 

She married Oath Newman on Sept. 9, 1913, in Onawa, Iowa. The couple move to 
the Anthon area in 1934.

Survivors include two daughters-in-law, May Newman of Anthon and Pauline 
Newman of Correctionville; 18 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, 
great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; four sons, Harry, Leonard, Harold 
and Lloyd; a daughter, Irene Newman; two great-grandsons, a great-
granddaughter, six brothers and sisters.
