	Robert A. Nielsen, 76, Blencoe, Iowa, died Monday, July 15, 1994, of a 
heart attack while fishing along the Little Sioux River near Blencoe.
	Mr. Nielsen was born November 12, 1917, in Moorhead, Iowa, the son of 
Harold and Anna (Eskelsen) Nielsen.  In 1935 he graduated from Moorhead High 
School.  On August 16, 1941, he married Maxine Comfort in Omaha
	.He is survived by his wife, Maxine, two daughters, and their 
husbands, Barbara and Bruce Carlson of Kingsley, Iowa, and Colleen and Gail 
Wallenberg of Council Bluffs, Iowa, four grandchildren, Kris Quastad, Rick 
Shaffer, Nicole Wallenberg, and Josh Wallenberg, a sister, Charlet Gohm of 
Hillsboro, OR, two half-sisters, Elaine Jensen of Tumwater, WA, and Marilyn 
Alexander of Colorado Springs, CO, two step sisters, Pearl May of Marian, IN 
and Winifred Nelson of Mahnomen, MN, a half brother, Carlos Eskelsen, and 
special lifelong friends, Virgil and Carroll Johnson.
	He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Nolan; a brother, Ed 
Nielsen; a half sister, Dorothy Seaton; two half brothers, Lawrence Eskelsen 
and Johnny Eskelsen and a step brother, Chris Nikolaisen.
