CORA NORBY                         (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Cora Dell Norby, a resident of Turin, Iowa, passed away at the Maple 
Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton on June 30, 1973.  
	She was born on December 18, 1892 at Arcola, Iowa the daughter of 
Charles and Etta Edwards Burke.  On March 1, 1911, she was united in marriage 
to Edwin Norby at Onawa.  He died on December 5, 1966, at Onawa.
	
	Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Evelyn) Glau of Turin, 
Mrs. James (Delores) Blundell of Ashland, Oregon, Mrs. Kleon (Arla) Ballantyne 
of Moorhead, Iowa, Mrs. Rudy (Margaret) Bergerson of Auburn, Washington, and 
Mrs. Robert (Marietta) McCauley of Pisgah, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Charles 
(Olive) Newman of Smithland, Iowa, Mrs. Raleigh (Bertha) Kendall of Toledo, 
Iowa, Mrs. Florence Thoreson of Sioux City, and Mrs. Ralph (Mildred) Leetch of 
San Gabriel, California; three brothers, Harry Burke of Napa, California, 
Donald of Saugus, California, and Milford of Los Angeles, California; 7 
grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, and two 
sisters, and her parents.
