Former Soldier Man
Dies in Texas                                    From the collection of Vivian

	Funeral services for Alex C. Olson, 77, of 7816 Seco, Dallas, Texas, 
who died at his home July 12 after a long illness, were held at 2:00 p.m. 
Saturday at the Macon-Holcomb Chapel with Rev. Carl Reynolds officiating.  
Burial was in Grove Hill.
	Mrs. Olson was born in Soldier, Iowa, and moved to Dallas six years 
ago from Lincoln, Nebr.  He was a retired paint contractor.
	Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anna Olson; three daughters, Mrs. H. 
E. Kelly of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Norvall Nelson of Gettysburg, S. D. and 
Mrs. Patrick D. Philben of Dallas; two sons, Gordon Olson of Dallas and Ivan 
Olson of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a 
sister, Mrs. Glenn Johnson, Elmhurst, Ill., and two brothers, A. M. Olson of 
Carroll, Iowa, and T. A. Olson of Soldier, Iowa---
