Funeral services were held at Soldier Lutheran Church Tuesday, April 16 at 1:30 with Pastor Harry C. Sorensen giving the sermon. Mrs. Norman C. Hanson was soloist and sang “In The Garden” and “Softly And Tenderly”. Mrs. Harry Andersen was at the organ Interment was in Soldier Valley Cemetery at Soldier under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home of Soldier. Pallbearers were Bernard Thoreson, James Olson, Lyle Outhouse, Lloyd Olson, Vernon Olson and Darrell Owens. Ole Olson was born February 12, 1886 at Soldier, Iowa and lived in the community until about 1945 when he moved to Missouri. He had lived at Eldorado Springs, Missouri for the past twenty-two years. He was baptized and confirmed in the Soldier Lutheran Church. He had worked as a farmer all of his life. His survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Inga Hines of Soldier, Mrs. Dena Outhouse of Woodbine and Mrs. Tena Murray of Sioux City; two brothers, Arthur and Olaf T. Olson, both of Soldier, and a number of nieces and nephews.
