Joann Maria Orr, 73, of Whiting passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003 in Onawa, 
Iowa.

Joann was born Sept. 10, 1929, in Whiting, the daughter of Ralph E. and 
Dorothy (Dean) Matthews.  On Jan. 22, 1949, she married Vernon Orr. 

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Melissa and Dennis 
Eggerling of Whiting, and Linda and Kevin Alexander of Sergeant Bluff; a 
sister, Jana Johnson of Whiting; her former son-in-law and his wife, Mark and 
Bonnie Fegenbush of Whiting; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; a son, Steve; her parents; 
an infant sister, Patti Sue; and a brother-in-law, Clarence Johnson.
