OSTABOE. Collectors notation 1922. Ingaborg Anna Anderson was born June 7th, 1845, in Bodo, Norway. Here she was baptized and confirmed. 19 years of age she was united in marriage to Lars Ostaboe. This was the year of 1873. This union was blessed with one son, who a few years ago preceded her into eternity. In the year of 1881 they immigrated to America and arrived in Mapleton, Blue Earth County, Minnesota. Here they resided 15 years. From there they moved to Frankfort, Tennessee, where they resided two years. They moved to Soldier in 1898 and have resided in this locality ever since. Mrs. Ostaboe was taught in the home of her parents the right path to travel. She was a regular church attendant as long as her health permitted. She often attended communion. She has been a member of the Soldier Valley congregation since moving to this community. She died peacefully Wednesday evening, April 12, at 8:50 p.m. At the time of death her age was 76 years, 10 months and 5 days. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband who is past 90 years of age, a sister, Mrs. Mina Strand of Sioux City, who was with her about a week during her last illness. Funeral services were held Friday, April 14th, at 1:30 o’clock at the church in town. The remains were laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery south of town. Rev. Sunner officiated at the funeral services.
