	Joyce A. Owens, 78, of Soldier, Iowa, died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at 
her home in Soldier.
	Joyce was born May 24, 1921, rural Soldier, Iowa, the daughter of 
Arnold and Effie (Meadows) Clemon.   On December 28, 1943, she married 
Darrell “Bus” Owens at Soldier.   Mr. Owens died October 5, 1995, at Onawa, 
Iowa.
	
	Survivors include three daughters, Diane Nielsen and friend Jim Lintin 
of Soldier, Nancy and her husband, Dean Skokan of Hooper, NE, and Susan Knecht 
of Homer, NE; four grandchildren; three brothers and their wives, Gordon and 
Ruth Clemon of Soldier, Glen and Catherine Clemon of Lakeview, AR, and James 
and Christine Clemon of Omaha, NE; and one step-sister and her husband, Joyce 
and Earl Pratt of Sioux City, Iowa.
	She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
