	Russell E. Pearson, 83, of Onawa, Iowa, died Monday, August 4, 1997, 
at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
	Mr. Pearson was born January 28, 1914, at Wilsonville, NE, the son of 
Cordney and Grace E. (Stanley) Pearson.  On July 2, 1939, he married Katherine 
Neldeberg at Whiting, Iowa.  
	He is survived by his wife, Katherine; a daughter, Joyce Pearson of 
Denver, CO: two granddaughters of Denver, CO; a brother-in-law, Dewey Adkins 
of Camarillo, CA; and nieces and nephews.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Arlene; and infant 
twin brother, Elmer.
