	Eugene Harold Persinger, 58, died Thursday, January 16, 1992, at 
Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa.
	He was born September 29, 1933, in Ashton Township, rural Onawa, Iowa, 
to Harold and Kathryn (Bentley) Persinger.   On June 7, 1959, he married 
Shirley Scherner at Holstein, Iowa.  
	
	Survivors include his wife, Shirley; one daughter, Karen and her 
husband, Charles Rizer of Kansas City, Missouri; one son, Eugene Jr. and his 
wife, Dianna, of rural Castana, Iowa; three grandchildren, John Harold, Lacey 
Mae, and Elizabeth Marie; and one brother, Charles and his wife, Phyllis, of 
Onawa.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, George Wight 
Persinger.
