Nels Peterson                               (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Nels Peterson, 90, Turin, Iowa, passed away May 3, 1984, at Pleasant 
View Nursing Home, Whiting, Iowa.
	He was born June 25, 1893, on a farm near Moorhead, Iowa, to Chris and 
Mary Christensen Peterson.  He was the fourth child in a family of twelve 
children.  
	On May 6, 1916, he was united in marriage to Olga Nikolaisen at Onawa, 
Iowa.  	
	He is survived by his wife, Olga, a daughter, two sons, eight 
grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two sisters, Carrie Lawrenson of 
Onawa and Mabel Lindbald of Salem, Ore., and many nieces and nephews and 
friends.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Chris, Pete, 
and Verne, and six sisters, Minnie, Christine, Cathryn, Helga, Millie and Mary.
