	Herbert Whittier Pike, 77, died March 6, 1989 in Omaha, NE
	Pike was born January 31, 1912, near Whiting, IA to Harold Lewis and 
Edith Whittier Pike.  On April 19, 1941, at Garner, Iowa, he married Marian 
Schissel who survives him.  He is also survived by a daughter, Julia (Mrs. 
Edward) McCutcheon of Naperville, Ill., and a son, Charles Whittier Pike, 
Whiting, and four grandchildren.
