George W. Prichard                           (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	George W. Prichard, 89, Onawa, Iowa, a former Monona County attorney 
and District Court Judge, passed away July 4, 1983, at the Burgess Memorial 
Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.
	He was born March 13, 1894, to Jacob A. and E. Grace Jones Prichard at 
Smithland, Iowa.   On December 25, 1917, he was united in marriage to Jane 
Bigelow at Whiting, Iowa.  She passed away October 27, 1982.
	Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Barbara) Fountain, 
Hendersonville, N.C., one son, Dr. George W. Prichard, Jr., Los Angeles, 
Calif., seven granddaughters, thirteen great grandchildren and one brother, 
Elbert M. Prichard, Onawa, Iowa.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jane, two brothers, 
Vernon and Leslie, and one sister, Helen.
