May 15, 1930 RAY WILLIAM RICHARDS Ray William Richards was born at Ute, Iowa, Oct. 19, 1889, and passed away in Denver, May 12, 1930, at the age of 40 years, 7 months and 3 days. He graduated from the Moorhead High School in 1906, and after graduating he spent several years teaching school. On January 2, 1913, he married Mildred Tripplett(sic) of Woodbine, Iowa, coming to Wray where he spent the next 16 years working in his father’s furniture and hardware store. He was a member of the Christian church of Wray and during the time he made his resident here, he was a member of the Wray Band. After leaving Wray he spent the last few years in the cleaning and pressing business. He leaves to mourn his departure his mothers, Mrs. E. E. Richards; three brothers, Guy and Wynn of Wray and Earl of Trenton, Neb.; three sisters, Fay McElwain and Flora McGinnis of Wray, and Hazel Maxwell of Franklin, Neb.; four nieces and three nephews, besides a host of friends. Funeral services were held held(sic) at the Richards Funeral Home, May 14, 1930, conducted by Rachael Boast of Holyoke. Interment was in Grandview cemetery.
