	Charles D. “Carl” Rieff, Onawa, died on May 24, 1986, at Burgess 
Memorial Hospital in Onawa, IA.
	He was born August 4, 1923, at Carroll, Iowa.  He was the son of 
Albert D. and Mary Anna (Beisch) Rieff.  On September 17, 1945, he married 
Frances A. Stangel at Onawa.  
	Survivors include his wife, Frances, of Onawa, two sons, Steven C. 
Rieff of Onawa, Michael F. Rieff of Cedar Rapids, a daughter, Mrs. Pat 
(Jeanne) Engles of Auburn, Neb., three sisters, Evelyn and Marie Rieff, both 
of Chicago and Mrs. Lucille Freiman of Seminole, Fla., a brother Paul of Des 
Moines, six grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
	He was preceded in death by his parents.
