ROSCOE ROSE		  (From the collection of Vivian Norby Andersen)

	Roscoe Robert Rose, 81, of Mapleton, died Tuesday, August 17, 1982 in 
an Onawa hospital.
	Mr. Rose was born January 10, 1901, in Rickets, Iowa, to Frank and 
Maude Jones Rose.  He married Beulah Davis on September 5, 1925.
	He married Loretta Kepner, December 10, 1948, in Ponca.  
	
	Survivors include his wife, one son of Mapleton, one daughter, Mrs. 
Don (Maxine) Johnson of Sioux City; five grandchildren and seven great 
grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
