ORREN C. RUDE 			(From the collection of Vivian Norby Andersen)

	Orren C. Rude, a lifetime resident of the Moorhead-Soldier communities 
died Tuesday morning at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa 
	Orren was born March 1, 1892 at Soldier, Iowa, a son of Ole and Jennie 
Rude.
	On March 22, 1916 he was united in marriage to Mae Norby at Soldier.  
	Besides his wife, Mae, he is survived by twin daughters, Mrs. LaVerne 
(Edna) Holverson of Moorhead and Mrs. David (Eddith) George of Fort Walton 
Beach, Florida.  Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  One sister, 
Mrs. Carrie Sandvold of Moorhead and many other relatives.  Orren was preceded 
in death by his parents, one son, Clayton who died in infancy, three sisters 
and one brother all of whom died in infancy and one sister, Mrs. Olive Olson 
who died in December 1970.
