CHRIS SANDVOLD  DIES			(From the collection of Vivian Norby
AFTER LONG ILLNESS				Andersen)

	Funeral services for Chris Sandvold, 78, were held at Bethesda 
Lutheran Church in Moorhead Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.  Rev. Harold Koehler 
officiated.  Interment was in Spring Valley cemetery under the direction of 
Pearson Funeral Home.
	Mr. Sandvold died at a Sioux City hospital Saturday.  He had been ill 
for some time.
	Mr. Sandvold was born June 28, 1888 at Hadeland Jaren, Norway and came 
to Moorhead in 1907.  He farmed and operated a store there for many years.  
His wife died on April 8, 1965.
	Survivors included two daughters, Miss Norma Sandvold of Moorhead and 
Mrs. Frank Phillips of Charlotte, N. C. and two grandsons.
