Severson, 71, 1838 S. Cedar street, retired vice president and trust officer of the Security National bank and Sioux City resident for 41 years, who died Monday evening after a heart attack, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Morningside Lutheran church. Rev. Arvid Bidne, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial park cemetery under direction of the Nelson-Berger Morningside funeral home. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Friday. Pallbearers will be Arthur Salsness, G. C. Adolph, Herschel Bright, Fred Davenport, jr., Clarence Haugen and Leonard C. Andersen. Honorary pallbearers will be C. R. Gossett, Charles H. Walcott, A. C. Eckert, Frank A. Abel and Howard L. Johnson. Death Claims D. Severson Daniel B. Severson, retired vice president and trust officer of the Security National bank and a Sioux City resident for 41 years, died Monday evening at his home after a heart attack. Mr. Severson was born July 12, 1888 at Soldier, Ia. He married Ella L. Skow there on September 28, 1916. They lived in Oakland, Neb., before coming to Sioux City. He operated his own insurance agency until 1958 after retiring from the bank. He was a member of Morningside Lutheran church and the brotherhood of the church, the Sioux City Real Estate board, Morningside Kiwanis club and Morningside Commercial club. He was a former trustee of Augustana college in Sioux Falls. Survivors include the widow; a son, J. W. of Glasgow, Mont.; three daughters, Mrs. Jo An Linsley of Arvada, Colo., Mrs. Dana Chidester of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Mrs. Lois Volkert of Cushing; a brother, C. S. of Oakland, Cal.; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Turner of Hebron, Ill., and Mrs. Gladys Bradley of Baring, Mo., and nine grandchildren.
