She had reached the age of 104 years, 1 month and 12 days and had been a resident of the Soldier area for nearly 80 years. C She was born August 27, 1867 in Green County, Wisconsin, to Arnie and Sigri Benson. On November 14, 1893 she was united in marriage to Simon E. Severson at Soldier by Rev. J. F. Swenson in the Soldier Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sons, Irvin Severson at home; Raymond Severson of Santa Monica, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Lester (Gladyce) Seehusen of Soldier and Mrs. Paul C. (Muriel) Krause of Sioux City; one granddaughter of Sioux City and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and three daughters.
