	Harold Shaffer, 80, of Moorhead died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at Burgess 
Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.
	
	Mr. Shaffer was born Jan. 18, 1920, in Turin, Iowa, the son of Ted and 
Tracy (Mallum) Shaffer.  
	He married Bernice Christensen on Oct. 22, 1938, in Onawa.
	
	Survivors include his wife; a daughter and her husband, Bonnie and 
Glen Holst of Moville, Iowa; two sons, Dick  of Sioux City and Dean and his 
wife, Debbie of Bellwood, Neb.; nine grandchildren; and six great-
grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Dean.
