Eileen Smith 

     Eileen Smith, 92, of Castana died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Burgess 
Health Center in Onawa, Iowa.
   
      Mrs. Smith was born May 27, 1910, in rural Moorhead, the daughter of 
Emery and Ella (Thoreson) Ballantyne. On Sept. 26, 1929, she married 
H.R. "Dick" Smith in Sioux City  Mr. Smith died Jan. 27, 1987, in Sioux City.
    Survivors include three grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and a great-
great-grandchild.

    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two 
sons, Harold Smith Jr. and Dawaine Smith; a daughter, Mabel Marie Collett; two 
brothers, John and Cleon "Bus" Ballantyne; a sister at birth; and a 
granddaughter, Debra Oberembt.
