BLANCHE SMITH WAPLES            (From the collection of Vivian Norby Andersen)

	Blanche Smith Waples, 87, Onawa, Iowa, passed away September 2, 1982, 
atSioux City, Iowa.
	She was born Blanche V. Jones on June 20, 1895, at Ticonic, Iowa.  On 
April 8, 1916, she was married to Charles V. Smith at Onawa.  He preceded her 
in death on September 3, 1952.  She later married Walter Waples and he 
preceded her on September 5, 1969.
	
	Survivors include one son, two daughters,  both of Onawa, seven 
grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
