 Eileen Smith, 92, of Castana died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Burgess Health 
Center in Onawa, Iowa.

Mrs. Smith was born May 27, 1910, in rural Moorhead, the daughter of Emery and 
Ella (Thoreson) Ballantyne.  On Sept. 26, 1929, she married H.R. "Dick" Smith 
in Sioux City.  Mr. Smith died Jan. 27, 1987, in Sioux City.

Survivors include three grandsons, Rodney Collett of Clearwater, Fla., Bradley 
Collett of Brookings, S.D., and Troy Oberembt of Sioux Falls, S.D.; four great-
grandchildren, Becky, Rick and Jesse Boyd and Callie Rose Oberembt; and a 
great-great-grandchild, Jordan Anfinson.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two 
sons, Harold Smith Jr. and Dawaine Smith; a daughter, Mabel Marie Collett; two 
brothers, John and Cleon "Bus" Ballantyne; a sister at birth; and a 
granddaughter, Debra Oberembt.
