SOREN (SAM) SORENSEN               (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Soren (Sam) P. Sorensen, a resident of Moorhead, Iowa, passed away 
January 11, 1978 at Burgess Memorial Hospital, Onawa, Iowa.  
	He was born in Fjerritslen, Demark on March 5, 188; the son of Nels C. 
and Dorothea Marie Peterson Sorensen.  On February 22, 1925, he was united in 
marriage to Ethel Torgerson at Moorhead, Iowa in the Bethesda Lutheran Country 
Church.  
	Survivors include his wife, Ethel of Moorhead, one son of Omaha, Neb., 
four daughters; eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and one 
brother, P. W. Sorensen of Moline, Ill.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Dagmar.
