WILLIAM P. SORENSON                   (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	William Peter Sorenson was born on January 7th, 1885 in Spring Valley 
Township, Moorhead, Iowa, and passed away at Marina del Rey, Calif. on May 14, 
1976.  He was the  son of Jens and Ane Sorenson, , daughter of Peder and Karen 
Mortensen of Sioux Township, Moorhead, Iowa on March 3, 1909.  
	To this union 6 children were born, Lloyd Russell and Florence Eva 
passed away in infancy.  Four sons all live in the Los Angeles area.
	
	He and his wife moved to Los Angeles, Calif. in 1956 to be near their 
sons and their families.
	He was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, his parents, one sister 
Anena, four brothers, Chris, Edward, Albert of Lake City, and John of 
Jefferson.  Left to mourn his passing are his widow, Susanna, one sister, 
Bessie of Spencer, one brother, Walter of Logan, four sons,  three 
granddaughters, two grandsons, five great grandchildren, many nieces and 
nephews and a host of friends.
