Egon A. Stangel                         (From the collection of Vivian Norby 
Andersen)

	Egon A. Stangel, 90, Onawa, Iowa, passed away July 20, 1983, at the 
Burgess Memorial Hospital, Onawa, Iowa.
	He was born December 21, 1892, at Howells, Nebraska to W.C. and Anna 
Kline Stangel.  On August 18, 1915, he was united in marriage to Agnes M. 
Woerth at Howells, Nebraska.  	
	Survivors include his wife, Agnes, 1 son of Rockport, Mass.; 3 
daughters; 3 brothers, Joseph, George, and Ferd, all of Onawa; 3 sisters, Mrs. 
Wilma Nagengast, Pocahontas, Mrs. Louis (Clara) Baumert, and Mrs. Bertha 
Fiala, both of Howells, Nebraska; 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Carl; 1 sister, 
Agnes Bogner; and 2 grandsons, Robert and Richard Sindelar.
