George W. Stangel                           (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	George W. Stangel, 89, Onawa, Iowa, passed away December 14, 1983 in 
Sioux City, Iowa.
	He was born October 27, 1894, at Howells, Nebraska, to W.C. and Anna 
Kline Stangel.  
	He is survived by 2 brothers, Ferd and Joseph, both of Onawa; 3 
sisters, Mrs. Louis (Clara) Baumert and Mrs. Bertha Fiala, both of Howells: 
and several nieces and nephews.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Carl and Egon; 
and 1 sister, Agnes Bogner.
