HANS STEEN, 83, LAID
  TO REST                                     (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Hans Steen, a longtime resident of Soldier, Iowa, passed away October 
10, 1974, at the Elmwood Nursing Home in Onawa, Iowa. 
	He was born on October 19, 1890, at Toten, Norway.  On December 26, 
1926, he was united in marriage to Alma Hanson at Sioux City, Iowa.
	
	Survivors include his wife, Alma of Soldier, several brothers and 
sisters in Norway; one nephew Archie Steen of Denver, Colo., and one niece, 
Mrs. Helen Phipps, of Onawa, Iowa.
