	Merrill Fred Struble, 91, of Turin, died Wednesday, October 28, 1987, 
at Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa.
	He was born January 29, 1896, in Jordan Township, Monona County, Iowa, 
to George Francis and Lorinda Elma (Morton) Struble.  On February 26, 1919, he 
married Ruby Amundson in rural Soldier.  She died October 21, 1981, at Onawa.
	
	Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Leon (Rosemary) Newkirk of Sgt. 
Bluff, three sons, Glenn of San Clemente, Calif., Russell of Castana, and 
Marvin of Turin, two brothers, Park of Onawa and Everett of Castana,one sister 
Mrs. Wreath Peterson of Onawa, twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-one great 
grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons, Doyle 
died on July 28, 1984, and Cleo was killed on Spetember 27, 1943, in World War 
II, and two brothers, Charles and Joy.
