ROY SWAIN                                   (From the collection of Vivian 
Norby Andersen)

	Roy Swain was born October 22, 1900, in Jordan Township to Nels and 
Lena Olson Swain.  
	On June 1, 1931, he was united in marriage to Lena Hamlin of 
Independence, Iowa.  To this union 8 children were born.  One son died in 
infancy.  Another son, Larry, died in 1965.  Therer are four daughters and two 
sons surviving and seven grandchildren. He also leaves several nieces,
