	Helen Opal Swain, age 64, of Fort Collins, died on Monday, March 14, 
1988, at the Poudre Valley Hospital.
	Helen Opal Rude was born on January 11, 1924, in Whiting, Iowa, to 
Conrad Rude and Olga Larson Rude.    She married Cleon E. Swain on January 4, 
1950, in Soldier, Iowa.
	She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Linda Hiskett of Fort 
Collins; three sons, Randy Swain, Jim Swain, and Jeff Swain, all of Fort 
Collins; five brothers and sisters, Wilbur and Clayton Rude, both of Ute, 
Iowa, Anne Marie Romsdahl of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Alice Gosch of 
Castana, Iowa, and LaVonne Leaver of Sioux City, Iowa; five grandchildren; and 
one great-grandchild.
