	Charles David Swanson, age 85, of Ute, Iowa, died Friday, October 23, 
1992, in Sioux City, Iowa.
	
	Mr. Swanson was born March 4, 1907 to Carl and Rasmina (Juliusen) 
Swanson at Ute, Iowa.    Charles married Mildred Trullinger on June 30, 1933, 
in Omaha, Nebraska.   Mildred died December 27, 1981.  On June 22, 1986, 
Charles married Ruth Dinesen in Harlan, Iowa.  
	
	Survivors include his wife, Ruth; one son and his wife, Evan and Evie 
Swanson of Hutchinson, Minnesota; one daughter-in-law, Lois Swanson of Loma 
Linda, California; four step-daughters and their husbands, Ramona and James 
Parker of Skowhegan, Maine, Annette and Gill Beierle of Glendale, Arizona, 
Cheryl and Andy Martinez of Loma Linda, California, and Melissa and Joseph 
Melicher of Fort Hood, Texas; four grandchildren, Jill and Ann Swanson, both 
of Lincoln, Nebraska, Sara-Beth Swanson of Hutchinson, Minnesota, and Bruce 
Swanson and his wife, Kristen of Olathe, Kansas; eight step-grandchildren; two 
great-grandchildren, Charles Evan Swanson and Kyle Ashton Swanson; and one 
sister and her husband, Rosa and Charles Holm of Apopka, Florida.
	Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mildred, 
one son, Dr. Carlos Swanson, two brothers, Dr. Clarence Swanson and Alex 
Swanson.
