Paper) Funeral services for Adeline Swenson, 82 of 14600 Killion St., Van Nuys, (Calif.), were held January 3 at Central Lutheran Church, Van Nuys. Mrs. Swenson died New Years day. She had lived in the Valley for 35 years. The widow of Dr. F. W. Swenson, she was a member of the Eastern Star of Van Nuys, the American Legion Auxiliary and a charter member of Central Lutheran Church. She is survived by a son Fritz of Van Nuys; four daughters, Mrs. Otto Riggin and Mrs. Clifford Hegness, both of Van Nuys, Mrs. Robert Taylor of Long Beach and Mrs. Clifford Huback of Walnut Creek, Cal., and by 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Elmer H. Meyer Funeral Home. Editor’s note: Mrs. Swenson was the daughter of Chris Evenson and lived in Soldier many years back. She had visited here quite often, however, and had kept in contact with the community through The Soldier Sentinel.
