	Former Soldier and Sioux City resident, Chris Tanberg, 95, of Sparks, 
NV, died Thursday, February 2, 1989, in Reno.
        Christ Tanberg was born September 18, 1893 in Soldier, Iowa to Mr. and 
Mrs. Holden Tanberg.He married Selma Berg on January 7, 1920
    He was preceded in death by two sons, Vernon and Clayton, and three 
grandsons, Robert Tanberg, and Vernon and Jack Chase.
        Survivors include his widow, one son, Ronald of Fallon, Nev., five 
daughters, Dorothy Chase of Sioux City, Irene Beith of Sparks, Evelyn Scott 
and Lois Timms of Sun Valley, Nev., and Betty Myers of Reno, fourteen 
grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and four great great 
grandchildren.
