	Norma Jean Lander, South Sioux City, died on Tuesday, August 15, 1989, 
in Sioux City, Iowa, 
	She was born at Blencoe, January 1, 1934, the daughter of Bennie and 
Amanda (Martin) Kendall.  She married Donald Tank in 1951.     On August 16, 
1968, she married Bennie Lander in South Sioux City.  He died February 7, 
1976, in Onawa.  
	Survivors include two daughters, Valerie Petersen of Homer, Neb., and 
Jean Marie Lander of South Sioux City, two step-daughters, Laurie Maxon of 
Dallas, Texas and Lana Lander of Spokane, Wash., two sons, Brad Tank of 
Blencoe and Dennis Tank of Sioux City, her mother, Amanda Kendall of Blencoe, 
her mother-in-law, Leola Lander of Sloan, a sister, Mrs. Randall (Noreen) 
Kuhlman of Des Moines, three brothers, Gary Kendall of Onawa, Bob Kendall of 
Hornick and Duane Kendall of San Diego, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
	She was preceded in death by her father, husband, step-daughter, 
Lynette McGrath, and brother Everett.
