Bernard R. Thrift							
	1996

	Bernard R. “Bernie” Thrift, died at Burgess Memorial Hospital in 
Onawa, Iowa Monday, March 11, 1996.
	He was born November 14, 1907, at Leedey, Oklahoma Territory, the son 
of Perry and Bettie (Harms) Thrift.  On December 26, 1935, he married Lettie 
Bradley in Toledo, Ohio. 
	Survivors include his wife, Lettie; four sons; three daughters and 
their husbands, all of Omaha, NE, and a daughter  of Onawa; fifteen 
grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; a sister, Josephine Alexander of 
Onawa; a brother Lyle of Fallon, NV; two brothers-in-law, Marvin Hull and 
Malvern Aust and many nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and step-great 
grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Hull and 
Margaret Aust.
